Domain name pricing

We have always tried to be as fair and transparent as possible when it comes to domain pricing. Our price to you is directly determined by our own purchase cost. We do not profit from domain sales. We actually lose money on most domain names that we sell. This is just part of being a small web hosting company.

Our domain pricing has always been “fluid” and changes when our direct cost changes. As a small business, we do not have huge buying power. As a result of this, we aim to break even (or run at a small loss) on domain name sales in order to remain competitive.

We recently had to increase our selling price on a range of domain names by 2%. This is simply to cover our direct costs on those sales.

Our main business is web hosting. We are and will always remain extremely competitive within that sector. Domain names are just one area where we are entirely at the mercy of market pricing. We do, however, still offer free domain registration when you purchase specific web hosting packages and pay annually.

We are constantly looking for ways to be able to provide you with value. If we can bring our domain registration prices back down, rest assured we will do this.
